"... TO GIVE UNTO THEM BEAUTY FOR ASHES, THE OIL OF JOY FOR MOURNING, THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS; THAT THEY MIGHT BE CALLED TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,THE PLANTING OF THE LORD, THAT HE MIGHT BE GLORIFIED." ISAIAH 61:3

Stuff & Things . . .

Loving Europe!

We do miss things, now and then.

Like the Grands!

and this guy,

our peak

and the Divide.

Good eats like Marigolds,

Chick-fil-A

and Crave.

American history,

the symphony,

and the beach!

But with so much to see and do here, the homesickness doesn't last long.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In March, we set up our canopy, bought our herbs and flowers, and got busy gardening!
One week, two violent wind storms, and three hail storms later...
Our canopy was in shreds, and the metal frame was our new
'modern art' yard sculpture!
Of course that didn't make the burgers any less delicious!
Most of the garden survived.
Shelby's roses,
Maddie's herbs,
and my window boxes, tomatoes, and the strangest strawberry plant I've ever seen!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We took a trip to Innsbruck, Austria, to tour what we thought was the Swarovski crystal factory.

It wasn't at all what we expected. It was actually a modern art museum with Swarovski crystals as an art medium.

Maddie  loved the Dali clock.

I liked the walls of crystals.

This was a crazy round room, meant to give you the sensation of being inside a crystal.

Random weirdness. I kinda liked it. Don't judge.

This was lovely. The sun and the moon dancing on ice.

Jellyfish. Just because.

I.don't.know...

The carousel horse was Shelby's favorite.

Great restaurant, too.

Modern art really isn't our thing. We prefer the classics.
But this was a fun trip. The girls were exposed to something new, and they loved the bling!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shelby saved up and bought a camera just before our move. She's really been putting it to good use!
She loves tree silhouettes...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One of our fav things to do on a day off is take a walk or drive. Everything blooms here, so you never know what you'll see!

Along one of our back roads...

The super moon from our back porch!

Doners! Local favorite and absolutely delicious!

Teens here are a little more free with the hair color.
Bo decided to give it a try.

Maddie and I, staying up way later than we should!

German graffiti!

Soooo, the kids were bored...

Our incredibly scientific method for choosing where to retire!

And thank God for FaceTime!!!
Love talking with the 'rents every day!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Enjoying this season of life and feeling blessed beyond measure.
